Last updated: August 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how TNT Fitness LLC, doing business as Dr. Knot ("Dr. Knot," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and otherwise processes personal information when you visit or use thedrknot.com, purchase from our online store, communicate with us, or use a Dr. Knot product, course, community, assessment, application, or other service that links to this Policy (collectively, the "Services").

By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Adults Only

The Services are intended only for adults age 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has provided personal information to us, contact us at info@thedrknot.com so we can review and, when appropriate, delete it.

  • Device and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device type, cookie identifiers, pages viewed, links selected, shopping activity, referring pages, and interactions with the Shopify storefront.
  • Communications and support information, such as messages submitted through our contact page or by email, reviews, feedback, survey responses, and customer-service records.
  • Marketing information, such as email preferences and interactions with marketing messages.
  • Course and community information, such as enrollment, course progress, profile information, and content you choose to post or share in a Dr. Knot community hosted on Circle.
  • Pain-related and wellness information, such as pain location, pain rating or intensity, sensitivity, muscle focus, session information, progress, and goals that you provide when using KnotFinder, Pain Finder, Back Pain Lab, a course, or another Dr. Knot educational tool.

If you provide an email address through Pain Finder, the email address is stored in Klaviyo, but the pain-related answers are not sent to or stored in Klaviyo.

For more detail about pain-related and wellness information, including additional rights that may apply, see our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.

We collect personal information:

  • directly from you when you create an account, make a purchase, use a tool, join a course or community, submit a form, or contact us;
  • automatically from your browser or device when you use the Shopify storefront;

How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to:

  • provide, personalize, maintain, and improve the Services;

  • operate KnotFinder, Pain Finder, Back Pain Lab, courses, and communities;
  • respond to questions, support requests, reviews, and other communications;
  • send transactional messages and, where permitted, marketing communications;
  • understand storefront performance and customer interactions;
  • provide and measure advertising and marketing on the Shopify storefront;

We use pain-related and wellness information only to provide requested Dr. Knot tools and educational services, maintain progress and account features, provide support, protect security and safety, comply with law, and honor privacy requests. We do not sell consumer health data or disclose it to advertising platforms for targeted advertising. The AWS-hosted KnotFinder and Pain Finder tools do not contain advertising, analytics, heatmap, session-replay, or Klaviyo tracking code.

How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to:

  • Shopify, which hosts and processes information for our online store, checkout, customer accounts, store analytics, fraud prevention, and related ecommerce services;
  • payment providers, shipping carriers, warehouses, and fulfillment providers that process transactions and deliver orders;
  • AWS, which provides hosting and infrastructure for KnotFinder and Pain Finder;
  • Circle, which hosts Back Pain Lab, courses, and community features;
  • Klaviyo, which provides email marketing and related communications services;
  • Meta, Google, Google Analytics, and related advertising or analytics services used on the Shopify storefront;
  • professional advisers and authorities when reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, or compliance purposes; and
  • a successor or transaction party in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to applicable law.

We may also disclose information at your direction, with your consent, or as otherwise disclosed when information is collected.

Shopify and Network Intelligence

Our online store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify processes personal information when you visit or make a purchase from the store. Because Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled, Shopify may also process information about your interactions with our store, other merchants, and Shopify to provide services that improve fraud prevention, store performance, personalization, and advertising. Information may be shared with Shopify and other service providers located in the United States or other countries.

Some of Shopify's enhanced services and some advertising technologies may constitute "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" under certain U.S. state privacy laws even though we do not sell personal information for money. You may use the Your Privacy Choices link in our footer or Shopify's data-sharing opt-out page to opt out where applicable. We also honor the Global Privacy Control where required and supported.

Learn more in Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy. You may also use Shopify's privacy portal to manage certain choices directly with Shopify.

Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising

The Shopify storefront and its partners use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the store, remember preferences, measure performance, prevent fraud, understand visits and purchases, and provide or measure advertising. Active storefront connections include Facebook and Instagram, Google and YouTube, Google Analytics, and Klaviyo.

Shopify's automated privacy controls determine where its cookie banner is shown based on the store's active markets and Shopify's current recommendations. Where available, you can change cookie preferences through the Cookie preferences link or banner and can use Your Privacy Choices to opt out of certain data sharing or targeted advertising.

KnotFinder and Pain Finder do not use the storefront advertising, analytics, heatmap, or session-replay technologies described in this section.

Community Content

If you post information in a Dr. Knot community hosted on Circle, that information may be visible to Dr. Knot, Circle, and other members who can access the relevant space. Do not post information you do not want those participants to see. Community content is also subject to Circle's own terms and privacy practices.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain accounts and transaction records, comply with legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent fraud, and protect security. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information, the Service involved, and applicable law.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep account credentials confidential and contact us if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information; obtain a copy; withdraw consent; opt out of certain sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling; or appeal a decision on a privacy request. You may also have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right.

To submit a request, email info@thedrknot.com or use our Contact Dr. Knot page. Describe the right you wish to exercise and the information or account involved. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and authority. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and identity verification.

For pain-related and wellness information, see the additional rights and request procedures in our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.

Email Marketing

You may unsubscribe from promotional email by using the unsubscribe link in the message. We may still send non-promotional communications about transactions, accounts, security, support, or changes to the Services.

Transfers and Processing Locations

We and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such processing.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the Services, our practices, or legal obligations. The updated version will be posted with a revised "Last updated" date. We will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by law.
